The company was formed in 2014 by Seda Selby. With a medical degree and many years in the
pharmaceutical and health supplement industries, “I have always been drawn towards the healing
qualities of holistic therapies. Growing up in Armenia with a family embracing natural remedies, the
effectiveness of many natural ingredients, has never been in doubt”.
The gum-on product evolution has stemmed from the experimenting on family and friends with
their mainly sporting related ailments. Muscle pain, cramps, and sensitive eczema prone skin all
helped to kick start the foundation products of the gum-on range. The natural products developed
seemed to prove far more successful than popular branded products available. And
therefore taking these products to the active body care market, was a natural progression.
The gum-on name comes from the essential oil Myrrh, which was used in one of the first products
developed. Myrrh is a gum and is commonly harvested from the species Commiphora myrrh tree.
Myrrh has amazing healing properties and has been used for centuries by our ancestors.
